Bulgaria’s Interior Minister reported of Vote Buying from One Political Party to Another
"Vote-buying in the elections was reduced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to levels that did not substantially affect the results". This was stated by Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev before the National Radio. He summarized that 151 court proceedings were instituted for violation of the electoral legislation.

The leader of "There Is Such a People" Slavi Trifonov has submitted an application refusing to be a representative in the 49th National Assembly, it became known at today's meeting of the Central Election Commission, reports BTA. Trifonov's application was accepted with 12 votes "for" and one "against".

We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria will not Support a Government with the Mandate or Participation of GERB
"All the parties in the coalition, after the decisions of their national bodies, have decided that the coalition will not support a government with a mandate or the participation of the political party GERB". This was stated by Asen Vassilev from "We Continue the Change" (WCC) at a briefing of the coalition.

Turkish Parliament recesses until post-election meeting
The Turkish Parliament has gone to recess due to looming simultaneous presidential and parliamentary polls slated to take place on May 14.
With a decision taken by all the political parties that have a parliamentary representation, the Parliament ended the 27th term until after the elections that will determine its new 600 members of parliament.
