CHP condemns gov’t for blocking municipalities’ COVID-19 donation campaign 

Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy chair Seyit Torun has lambasted a decision by the Interior Ministry to block CHP-run municipalities' donation campaigns to help those hit hardest by the economic consequences of the novel coronavirus outbreak.  

Opposition parties pledge support to Turkey’s fight against COVID-19

Opposition political parties have pledged to contribute to Turkey's ongoing efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus, with calls on parliament to set up a commission to support the medical teams' works across the country, as one person died due to the pandemic, while 98 others are currently infected. 

Main opposition leader visits earthquake-hit region

Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu on Jan. 31 visited Elazığ province and its districts that were hit by an earthquake which killed 41 people last week.

"Turkey's entire population was united over the earthquake in Elazığ province," Kılıçdaroğlu told reporters.
