Leaders of the Bosnian Serb ruling and opposition parties exchanged harsh words over the weekend as the political struggle moved from negotiations about the formation of new governments to the next highly-disputed issue - a new mechanism for the coordination of EU projects.

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin and Republika Srpska Minister of Labour and Veteran and Disability Protection Milenko Savanovic on Friday signed a memorandum of cooperation between their two ministries.

Leaders of Bosnia's ruling parties averted political and financial disaster - literally on the stroke of midnight - by approving new state and Federation entity governments as well as Federation entity budget for 2015.

Igor Radojicic, a popular figure in the main Bosnian Serb party, the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, SNSD, is close to resigning - or being kicked out - from the party, which could undermine the political stability of Republika Srpska, a party source told Balkan Insight.

Bosnia's ambassador to Serbia, Ranko Skrbic, resigned on Wednesday, citing "substantial and conceptual disagreements with the current policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina," local media reported Skrbic's resignation letter as saying.

NOVI SAD - Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) Ambassador to Serbia Ranko Skrbic told Tanjug on Wednesday that he has tendered an irrevocable resignation.

Skrbic said that he has forwarded a copy of the resignation to President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik, who proposed that he should be appointed to the office in line with the RS Constitution in 2013.

Republika Srpska president Milorad Dodik has called for the creation of a new international commission about the massacres of Bosniaks from Srebrenica in July 1995, which he called a “huge crime”.

BELGRADE -- Milorad Dodik has said that the crime in Srebrenica "did not represent the struggle for Serbdom, but the biggest blow to Serbdom, and cowardice."

Furthermore, added the president of the Serb Republic (RS) entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina, "we need the truth that everyone will accept."

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik talked in Belgrade on Tuesday about the economic, social and political situation in Serbia and RS.

Milorad Dodik's public scolding of the well known Banja Luka journalist, Gordana Katana, has drawn strong criticism from local journalists.
 
The President of Republika Srpska - one of two entities in Bosnia - castigated Katana at a press conference over the weekend, after she asked him an alleged tycoon friend who had escaped a prison term.
