European Union leaders will seek a common front against their NATO ally Turkey at a summit on Thursday and condemn Ankara's offensive in northern Syria, while considering further ways to pressure it to pull back.

Prime minister-designate Ludovic Orban said on Thursday, after talks with the delegation of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats (ALDE), that as a principle, the formation headed by Calin Popescu-Tariceanu did not raise any issue and that the Liberals also favor a PNL single-party government.

A new substance is included in the drug list. This is clear from a Council of Ministers decision amending the Ordinance on the procedure for classifying plants and substances as narcotic.

US President Donald Trump sent a letter to Turkey's President Recep Erdogan on October 9, the day the Turkish operation in Syria began, asking him not to "be a fool," CNN reported, quoting parts of the document.

"Let's work out a good deal!", Trump started.

"Where there is a will, there is a #deal - we have one! It's a fair and balanced agreement for the EU and the UK and it is testament to our commitment to find solutions", Juncker said.
"I recommend that #EUCO endorses this deal", he said, as Reuters reports.

Ankara has ignored an offer by U.S. President Donald Trump in a letter sent to the Turkish president, adding that the ongoing Operation Peace Spring already responds to it.
"The letter written on Oct. 9 was rejected by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and thrown away," Turkish media quoted a diplomatic source as saying.

As a growing influx of migrants from Turkey puts Greece under increasing pressure and amid the threat of a new wave of refugees, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has said he will broach the issue of burden-sharing among European Union member-states at a leaders summit in Brussels on Thursday.

Former leftist foreign minister Giorgos Katrougalos on Wednesday defended the SYRIZA government's tactics in 2015, when Greece came close to a eurozone exit, describing the administration's effort as "heroic."
