Libya declares contiguous zone of 24 nautical miles
In the latest reshuffling of the pack in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Tripoli government in Libya has informed the United Nations of the Council of Ministers' decision, led by Prime Minister Abdul Hamid al-Dbeibeh, to declare a 12 nautical mile territorial waters zone and then, to declare a contiguous zone extending 24 nautical miles northward, as permitted by the United Nations Convention on
Libyan top prosecutor seeks details on minister's meeting with Israeli top diplomat
Libya's chief prosecutor said Saturday he would establish a fact-finding mission to investigate a meeting last month between the foreign minister of one of the country's rival governments and Israel's chief diplomat.

Son of Muammar Gaddafi released from prison in Libya
A son of Libya's ousted leader Muammar Gaddafi has been released from prison in the capital Tripoli, security sources said on Sept. 5.

Al-Saadi Gaddafi, 48, was freed through a decision by the Libyan Chief Prosecutor's Office and the approval of Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh.
It was also stated that he left the country to move to Turkey.

New Libyan unity government pays first visit to Turkey
Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Mohammed Dbeibah and a delegation of ministers made their first visit to Turkey on April 12 since taking office last month.
As part of a two-day visit, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Dbeibeh on April 12 chaired the first meeting of the Turkey-Libya High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Ankara.

President Erdoğan meets head of Libyan council in Istanbul
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on March 26 received the chairman of Libya's Presidential Council in Istanbul.
The meeting between Erdoğan and Mohammad Younes Menfi at the Vahdettin Mansion lasted around two hours.
Turkey welcomes approval of Libya's new government
Turkey on March 10 welcomed Libya's parliament voiced confidence in the new government formed by Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh.
