Democratic Front MP Branka Bosnjak warned that, in a situation in which Montenegro has not declared a state of emergency, parliament must decide on all government measures.

"Don't allow your religious freedom to be abused the way it is being abused these days in Montenegro, and it is being abused to bring down Montenegro", President of Montenegro and the Socialist Democratic Party said Monday at a session of the municipal committee of that party in Tivat.

After collecting signatures, they would ask the state of Serbia to file a lawsuit with the European Court of Human Rights against Montenegro.

According to the Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bozovic was summoned to this Ministry's office to be served with a protest note over alleged events in front of the Montenegrin Embassy in Belgrade and last night's attempt to set the Montenegrin flag on fire.

Knezevic, a fierce critic of the three-decade-long rule of Djukanovic, was one of two Front leaders, along with Andrija Mandic, convicted in the first-instance ruling of involvement in a failed coup in 2016, which the authorities claim originated in Russia. They have appealed their sentences. 

The Montenegrin parliament passed the controversial Freedom of Religious Law amid chaotic scenes on Friday, despite fierce objections from the Serbian Orthodox Church, its supporters and pro-Serbian opposition parties.

A pro-Serbian bloc in Montenegro says Serbs are discriminated against and wants the constitution changed. The bid looks doomed to fail, however.

He stated that in this way they would thwart the attempts to manipulate the Serbian electoral will.
n a statement to RTS, Vucic said that the Serb List was experiencing real political terror and persecution, organized by the organs of the so-called parastate, supported by some in the international community.

U.S. Congressional delegation is visiting Montenegro headed by Senator Lindsey Graham, who said that the forthcoming elections will present a major test to Montenegro, and will be "closely monitored" worldwide, as Sputnik carried out.

The Montenegrin parliament on Wednesday failed to adopt a law to legalize same-sex unions after deputies from ruling parties representing ethnic minorities voted against it.
