Trump threatens military force against protesters nationwide
Wielding extraordinary federal authority, President Donald Trump threatened the nation's governors on June 1 that he would deploy the military to states if they did not stamp out violent protests over police brutality that have roiled the nation over the past week.

White House: Antifa will be declared a terrorist group
White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany said at a press briefing that there was enough evidence that the Antifa organization was responsible for the violence during protests in cities across the United States, which erupted after the murder of African-American George Floyd during a police action.
Trump postpones G7 meeting, seeks expansion of members
President Donald Trump said on May 30 that he will postpone until the fall a meeting of Group of 7 nations he had planned to hold next month at the White House despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Trump threatens social media after Twitter fact-checks him
President Donald Trump on May 27 threatened social media companies with new regulation or even shuttering a day after Twitter added fact checks to two of his tweets.
The president can't unilaterally regulate or close the companies, which would require action by Congress or the Federal Communications Commission. But that didn't stop Trump from angrily issuing a strong warning.

President Donald Trump on Thursday said "we are not closing our country" if the U.S. is hit by a second wave of coronavirus infections.
"People say that's a very distinct possibility, it's standard," Trump said when asked about a second wave during a tour of a Ford factory in Michigan.
Russia's reaction to Trump's ultimatum
"We are against the break-up (WHO), which would refer to the political or geopolitical interests of one country, and that is the United States," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said, adding that there are ways to improve work by calling for reforms.
