Türkiye braces for scorching temperatures as summer steadily approaches, with meteorologists forecasting a significant spike of 10 to 15 degrees Celsius in some parts of the nation.

The Turkish State Meteorological Service issued alerts confirming that temperatures above seasonal norms are anticipated to surge in the coming days.

Overnight, rainfall across the country will temporarily cease, with some areas experiencing breaks in the clouds. The northwest wind will weaken, particularly in the southwest regions where it will subside. Minimum temperatures will range between 2°C and 7°C, dropping to around 0°C in the valleys of Southwestern Bulgaria and approximately 1°C in Sofia.

Overnight, the precipitation zone will gradually shift eastward, with significant amounts expected in parts of Central and Eastern Bulgaria, accompanied by thunderstorms. Winds in the eastern half of the country will mostly come from the west-northwest, blowing at moderate speeds. Minimum temperatures will range between 5°C and 10°C, with around 5°C expected in Sofia.

Citizens are expected to enjoy their nine-day Eid holiday in the warmth of the spring season, prominent meteorologist Dr. Orhan Şen has said, saying that temperatures will rise to a comfortable level in the coming days.

During the night, skies will generally be clear and tranquil, with temperatures ranging between 5°C and 10°C, around 6°C in Sofia. Tomorrow's forecast predicts mostly sunny conditions, with cloud cover increasing from the northwest in the afternoon, although precipitation is unlikely.

Tonight, the weather is expected to be mostly clear with a gentle westerly breeze. Minimum temperatures will range from 4°C to 9°C, while in Sofia, temperatures will be around 5°C. Tomorrow, the forecast indicates mostly sunny conditions. Cloud cover will gradually increase, particularly in mountainous and eastern areas, but any precipitation is expected to be minimal.

A recent report by the Turkish State Meteorological Service has revealed a significant decrease in the duration of snow cover in Türkiye over the past five decades, sparking concerns among experts.

As the night progresses, Western Bulgaria will see an increase in cloud cover, with light rainfall expected in some areas, particularly after midnight. Meanwhile, Eastern Bulgaria will experience clear skies with no precipitation anticipated.
