Bulgaria concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation with Gas Transmission Operators from 4 Countries

Azerbaijan plans to Double Gas Supplies to Europe by 2027

Azerbaijan plans to double natural gas supplies to Europe by 2027, said the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Sofia. He is a special guest at the signing ceremony of a memorandum on the Solidarity Ring initiative, which aims to increase the security of natural gas supplies to the European Union. The event is hosted by President Rumen Radev.

The Azerbaijan Oil and Gas Company will open an office in Bulgaria

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is arriving in our country tomorrow at the invitation of the Bulgarian Head of State Rumen Radev.

The two will attend the official opening of an office of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Sofia.

Bulgaria’s President Canceled his participation in a forum in Baku due to a Positive Covid Test

President Rumen Radev canceled his participation in the tenth global forum in Baku. The head of state, who is in Azerbaijan, has tested positive for Covid-19. He was subsequently given two more tests, which were negative.

Turkey welcomes peaceful election in Azerbaijan

Turkey on Feb. 9 welcomed the peaceful voting in Azerbaijan.

"We wish that the parliamentary elections held today will be auspicious for brotherly Azerbaijan," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

It also congratulated President Ilham Aliyev and the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) under his leadership, for their election success.

Azerbaijan slams delay in Turkey’s EU membership

Keeping "brotherly" Turkey waiting for European Union membership is a "big injustice," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said on Dec. 23.

"Many years have passed since Turkey signed the agreement with the EU. But did the next steps produce any results? Of course not. This is a big injustice," said Aliyev, speaking on national television.
