The process of appointing new presidents of the country's top courts began on Thursday with Justice Minister Konstantinos Tsiaras presenting the cabinet with a list of proposed candidates for the Supreme Court and the Council of State.

Greece's parliament on Jan. 22 elected the first woman president in the country's history, a senior judge with an expertise in environmental and constitutional law.

A cross-party majority of 261 MPs voted in favour of 63-year-old Ekaterini Sakellaropoulou, parliament chief Costas Tassoulas said.

A Croatian open-world survival video game, called SCUM, has already sold sold about 660,000 copies only days after it was released on August 29.

An investigation has shown that the infection comes from a company factory in Laval, in the northwest of France. The factory was closed by a government decision.

Aleksandar Vucic was on Wednesday sworn-in as Serbia's new president during a ceremony held at the National Assembly in Belgrade.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has previously said, "Let's assume I will have one or two deputies. The president - me or somebody else - will have one or two deputies. When the president is abroad, then one of the two or the only one deputy will be the acting president."

President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has two theses: The presidential system would uplift Turkey, as this is how developed countries are ruled, and there can also be a presidential system in unitary states. 

The presidential system will not be a dictatorship as argued by the opposition parties, the prime minister has said, adding that his proposed model does not contradict universal values and principles.
 

A senior executive of the main opposition Republican People Party (CHP) has dismissed President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an's recent statements demanding the removal of Turkey's "dual-headed system," claiming that the public wants the existing parliamentary system to be strengthened, not removed.
