Obama: Greece has a tough road ahead (photos-videos)

The President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos welcomed US President Barack Obama at the Presidential Palace. Pavlopoulos expressed his gratitude to President Obama for the solidarity on the humanitarian crisis, adding his belief that President-elect Donald Trump would continue on a similar path.

Barack Obama is expected to meet with the President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos at the Presidential Palace. The US motorcade has departed from the Asrteras resort hotel in Vouliagmeni and is expcted to shortly arrive.

Celebrations of the October 28 National Day in Greece culminate with the student parades in Athens and the military parade in Thessaloniki. The President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos attended religious celebrations in honour of St. Dimitrios, the patron saint of Thessaloniki, Wednesday. The Greek President arrived a little after 11am at the Church of St. Dimitrios, where a large crowd greeted him with warm applause.

The President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos called for solidarity within the ranks of the EU on the refugee crisis in an exclusive interview to Italian newspaper ‘Il Messagero’.
