President Erdoğan vows to deliver 2023 targets ‘despite foreign interventions’

The Turkish government will exert the utmost effort to deliver targets set for 2023, the centennial of the Turkish Republic, in the areas of democracy and economy "despite continued interventions by some foreign powers," President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said.

Criminal appeals court drops charges against nine ethnic Kurds

A three-member criminal appeals court in Athens on Wednesday dropped charges against nine Turkish nationals, all ethnic Kurds, who had been accused of being members of a terrorist organization.

The suspects had been arrested and placed on pre-trial detention ahead of a visit by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Greece in December 2017.
