A young male brown bear survived subzero temperatures and a deep gash in its stomach after becoming ensnared in an illegal trap designed to catch wild boar in northern Greece's Prespes lake district before being rescued by members of the Callisto wildlife conservation group, the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA) reported on Monday.
Lies and half-truths
What do the Prespes agreement, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Boris Johnson have in common? They are all involved with nationalism, populism, lies, half-truths and illegality. The rallying cry for nationalist opposition to Prespes, "Macedonia is Greek," was a half-truth. Half of Macedonia is certainly Greek. The other half is Macedonian.

Greece unveils Macedonia trademark
Greece has unveiled a new logo and brand identity to be used for all products made in its Macedonia region. The trademark combines a blue-and-white logo with the motto "Macedonia the Great" - a reference to ancient warrior king Alexander the Great.

Greek Foreign Minister backs North Macedonia's EU prospects

Greece will continue to "closely monitor" North Macedonia's "full compliance" with the conditions set in the Prespes accord, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said on Tuesday, after the country's Premier Zoran Zaev warned that part of the deal which ended a decades-long dispute with Greece might be at risk, because some articles are linked to his country's EU accession prospects.
