Landlord, tenant conflicts overwhelm courts

This year, landlords and tenants have filed tens of thousands of legal cases to resolve the disagreements and conflicts among them, overwhelming the country's courts.

Some 90,000 rent dispute related legal cases have been opened at courts since the start of the year, Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç said, noting that this marked a 100 percent increase from a year ago.

Tsakalotos says Greece will ease capital controls 'very soon'

Greece plans to further loosen capital controls soon and is on track to lift all restrictions imposed three years ago, its finance minister said on Saturday.

"We will have new easing (of capital controls) very soon," Euclid Tsakalotos was quoted as saying in an interview with Naftemporiki newspaper, without specifying when.

Ministry to impose price ceiling to control Turkey's rising meat prices

The Food and Agriculture Ministry has decided to impose a price ceiling for red meat in a bid to control recent rises.

According to new price regulations announced by Minister Faruk Çelik on Feb. 9, the maximum price for a kilo of ground meat will be 32 Turkish Liras (around $11), while the maximum price of a kilo of diced meat will be 34 liras.
