Price hikes for most food items
Over three quarters of food items (46 out of 60) measured by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) recorded price increases within a month, from September to October, a fact that shows that the de-escalation of inflation and especially food inflation is still slow.

Annual inflation rate slows to 61.4 percent in October
The annual inflation rate slowed from 61.5 percent in September to 61.36 percent in October, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) have shown.
Inflation seen rebounding
Eurostat estimated on Tuesday that European Union-harmonized inflation rose considerably in October to reach 3.9%, which is mainly attributed to food price hikes after a few weeks of natural disasters that mainly struck central Greece.

Serbian inflation slows down further in August
BELGRADE - Serbian y-o-y inflation has slowed down further, amounting to 11.5 pct in August, in line with National Bank of Serbia (NBS) expectations, though the August reading is somewhat lower than the projection from the Inflation Report, the central bank said on Wednesday.

Inflation falls to 3.4% in August
Greece's Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) dropped slightly in July, from 3.5% to 3.4%, preliminary data from the European Union's statistics agency Eurostat showed Thursday.

Food prices soar in Cyprus
In July, the Prices Observatory conducted by Cyprus' Consumer Protection Service (CPS) recorded increased prices for 32 out of 45 categories of staple foods.
There were price deductions for 13 staple food categories. However, there was an overall price hike of 1.21% compared to the previous month. This was attributed to increased prices of fresh and processed agricultural products.

Annual growth in agriculture input costs slows
The downward trend in the annual increase in the costs in the agriculture sector continued in June, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) have shown.
The agricultural input price index rose by 27.7 percent in June from a year ago, easing from the 33.2 percent year-on-year rise recorded in the previous month.

Greek EU-harmonized inflation rises to 3.5% y/y in July
Greece's annual EU-harmonized inflation accelerated to +3.5% in July from +2.8% in June, data showed on Tuesday.
EU-harmonized inflation is an index of components that is used across the EU to measure inflation in a consistent way.
Grains, fuel driving inflation
Expectations of a de-escalation in inflation, especially food prices, which concern most people, are clearly diminishing, since production costs, but also profiteering, are set to add another round of price hikes.
