Paris Opera’s ‘Swan Lake’ | February 12-15

The Paris Opera's production of "Swan Lake" based on the famed 1984 choreography by Rudolf Nureyev will be streamed online by Greece's Christmas Theater event organizer from February 12-15. It costs 15 euros to watch the show, with bookings available on christmastheater.gr, viva.gr and tel 211.770.1700. Screenings take place at 8 p.m., with additional shows at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Sleeping Beauty | December 25-27

Unable to open its doors this year due to the Covid restrictions, the annual Christmas Theater program of holiday events has gone online with a shorter program of live-streamed shows. For the Christmas holiday it will be streaming Tchaikovsky's family favorite "Sleeping Beauty" with the 1966 choreography by Rudolf Nureyev for Milan's La Scala.

Romeo & Juliet | Athens | July 9

The Village Cinemas multiplex in Faliro is screening the UK Royal Opera House's classic production of Sergei Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet," choreographed by Sir Kenneth MacMillan. His take on the tale of the star-crossed lovers premiered at Covent Garden in 1965 and was an immediate success.

Carlos Acosta | Athens | September 26

Renowned Cuban ballet dancer Carlos Acosta celebrates 30 years on the stage with "A Celebration," a grand production with his 25-member ensemble that will stop at the Herod Atticus Theater in Athens before heading to London's Royal Albert Hall, where Acosta spent some of his finest years with the Royal Ballet, earning numerous distinctions and a knighthood.
