Bytyqi brothers: Until justice is served

They underlined that they will keep fighting for justice until it's served. We want to provide that the perpetrators of this crime will not remain free.
On this day, 20 years ago, Serbian authorities had killed three U.S. citizens and dumped them into the mass grave. "We will seek justice until it's served", it is said in a brief statement on the Bytyqi family website.

Kosovo Liberation Army Ex-Guerrilla Convicted of War Crime

The court in Prizren on Wednesday sentenced Remzi Shala, a former Kosovo Liberation Army, KLA unit commander known during wartime as 'The Red Apple', to 14 years in prison for committing a war crime.

Shala was convicted of the kidnapping of Haxhi Perteshi from Duhel, a village in the Suhareka/Suva Reka area in 1998. Days after he was seized, Perteshi was found dead.

Kosovo Arrests Fugitive Ex-Guerrilla Commander

Fugitive former Kosovo Liberation Army unit commander Remzi Shala, known during wartime as 'The Red Apple', appeared in court in Prizren on Friday after being arrested, but denied he was trying to evade justice.

Shala is a suspect in the kidnapping in 1998 of an ethnic Albanian man who was subsequently killed, and was initially supposed to appear in court in Prizren on January 9.

The truck was then set on fire and pushed into the river with the bodies inside, according to the witnesses.

Witness Tome Prekpalaj, from the village of Bregu i Drinit near Prizren, testified that he saw the defendant and his father with the truck carrying the corpses of Albanian civilians.

Belgrade band perform "Next Year in Prizren" in Kosovo

They were at the monastery for the feast of Holy King Milutin - and on the occasion, performed their latest song, "Dogodine u Prizrenu (Next Year in Prizren).

The song mentions the town of Prizren in Kosovo because it was the ancient capital of the Serbian medieval empire - while the title itself is a paraphrase of the Jewish saying, "Next year in Jerusalem."
