Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann is in Greece to meet with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and President of the Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos on Wednesday.
House debt audit commission to present first findings
Parliament?s debt audit commission is to announce its preliminary findings Wednesday and Thursday.
The inquiry is being overseen by Parliament Speaker Zoe Constantopoulou, who is due to deliver the committee?s preliminary report on Thursday.
Among those due to speak on Wednesday is Eric Toussaint, a Belgian academic who is the committee?s scientific adviser.
Pres. Pavlopoulos on World Environment Day
President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos, on the occasion of the “World Environment Day”, spoke on fiscal development and environment protection. “Each and every one of us needs to assume responsibility towards the conscious protection of the environment, both for the world we live in and the world we aim to ensure for future generations”, he stated.

May 19 marks annual commemoration of Pontian Genocide

Paul Krugman meets PM Tsipras; President Pavlopoulos in Athens
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras met on Saturday with Paul Krugman, the renowned economist who won the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2008, at the government headquarters in Maximos Mansion.
The meeting between the two men lasted about an hour and a half and no statements were made at its conclusion.
Venizelos’ harsh letter to new Greek president
