MEROSINA - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in Merosina on Wednesday many investors were interested in investing in the south of central Serbia, and announced that a cornerstone for a new factory in Nis would be laid in September.

The citizens of Prokuplje eagerly awaited the arrival of the president, and when Vui arrived, more than 1.500 people welcomed him.
As previously announced, Vui is touring the works on the reconstruction of the building of the Gymnasium and Secondary Medical School "Dr Aleksa Savi".

BELGRADE - The residents of southern Serbia are worried about history repeating itself amid reports that Kosovan Albanians are buying up large amounts of property in towns and villages there, Sputnik Serbia reported.

PROKUPLJE - Toplicki vinogradi, the largest privately-owned winery in the Balkans, has opened in the Gojinovac village near Prokuplje, southern Serbia.

Sprawling on around 8,000 sq. metres, the winery has 80 hectares of vineyards - an investment worth nearly EUR 6 million.
