The Greek corruption prosecutor has officially brought criminal charges against 12 employees of the Urban Rail Transport (STASY) of stealing takings from the transport company worth 1 million euros in 2015.

Notaries to walkout Wednesday, calling for gov't action on repossessions
The union representing Greek notaries announced on Monday that its members would not be attending planned foreclosure hearings in Greek courts on Wednesday, amid growing public protests.
It also called on the government to clarify the legal situation regarding repossessions, especially relating to primary residences, "to ensure the legality and smoothness of the proceedings."

Guilty verdicts sought for 12 power execs in embezzlement trial
A prosecutor on Friday called on a court hearing the case against 19 Energa and Hellas Power executives accused of embezzling more than 100 million euros from the Greek state to find 12 of the defendants guilty of a string of charges ranging from embezzlement to money laundering.
Car Thefts in Bulgaria Register 9 % Increase in 2015
Car thefts in Bulgaria have increased by nearly 9 % in the first eleven months of this year compared to 2014.
Since the beginning of the year, 3637 cars have been stolen, while the number of car thefts in 2014 stood at 3338.
The greatest number of thefts occurred in the four largest cities - Sofia (2204), Plovdiv (131), Varna (342) and Burgas (196).
