Three arrested in connection with child prostitution ring

Police arrested three people in different parts of Athens on Thursday on suspicion of involvement in a child prostitution ring.

A 31-year-old woman and two men, aged 33 and 55, are suspected of pimping out children under the age of 15 and recording child sex abuse material, among other offenses.

Prostitution racket uncovered in Attica

A large prostitution racket that exploited women from Moldova has been unraveled by police in Attica who have arrested 15 people - 12 foreign nationals and three Greeks.
According to authorities, the gang preyed on women in the Eastern European country and lured them to Greece, where they were forced into prostitution at brothels across central Athens.

Eight people believed to be members of a sex trafficking gang that exploited Eastern European women, mostly from Belarus, were arrested Monday after police raids at Athens brothels.

Police said the women were virtually imprisoned in apartments around Athens and forced into prostitution at various brothels.

Police make six arrests at Athens brothels

Six women working as prostitutes were arrested during checks on brothels in Athens on Wednesday.

Officers from the police department that combats human trafficking inspected three brothels in the city.

Two of the six women arrested were discovered not to have residence papers.

The others face other charges relating to prostitution.
