Dutch police have dismantled what they describe as the biggest cocaine laboratory ever discovered in the Netherlands — hidden at a former horse riding school — and arrested a total of 17 people from Colombia, Turkey and the Netherlands, AP Europe has reported.

Over 100 kg of heroin seized in eastern Turkey
Turkish police seized 100.1 kilograms (220.5 pounds) of heroin in the eastern province of Van, according to officials on July 27.
In a statement, the provincial security directorate said the drugs were recovered from a van stopped in the Seyrantepe neighborhood in the Tuşba district.

Police seize 670 kg of heroin in eastern Turkey
Turkish police seized 670 kilograms (about 1,477 pounds) of heroin in the eastern Van province over the last five days, the country's Interior Minister said on May 29.
Süleyman Soylu lauded the efforts of the provincial police and anti-narcotics teams, saying the seizures were a heavy blow to the illicit drug trade.

SOFIA, Bulgaria (AP) — Bulgarian police have discovered and seized more than 360 kilograms (nearly 800 pounds) of cocaine from an apartment in the capital.
Suspected drug traffickers nabbed in Thessaloniki
Police have arrested a prominent leader of a heroin trafficking gang and another member, both 25, after the latter was nabbed at the intercity bus station in Thessaloniki in northern Greece.

Police dismantle illegal cigarette plant
Police said on Thursday they located a fully equipped illegal tobacco processing and production plant as part of an organized operation in an area of Attica.
Four people were arrested in connection with the case, accused of being members of a criminal organization and running the factory. The case file also includes the landlord, who is being sought by police.

Tea producers granted travel permit amid virus
Turkey on May 12 announced that tea producers will be allowed to travel to the cities their fields are located in with a special permit as partial restrictions continue in the country.
In a statement, the Interior Ministry said that tea producers will be allowed as of May 19 midnight following the lifting of a four-day partial curfew.

Two charged after heroin seizure in Patra
Two men were to face a prosecutor in Patra, western Greece, Friday after police discovered half a kilogram of heroin hidden in the lights of the vehicle they were traveling in.
Working on a tip-off, officers of the local anti-narcotics division stopped the truck on the Patra-Corinth highway in Achaia and discovered the drugs with the help of a sniffer dog.
