President Klaus Iohannis said on Tuesday that during the state of emergency, prices for medicines and medical equipment, food staples and public utilities can be capped.
The State of Emergency in Bulgaria Extended to May 13th
The National Assembly voted in favor of extending the state of emergency to May 13, 2020, according to BGNES.
The motion was adopted with 122 votes in favour, 47 against and 7 abstentions.
Deputies rejected the proposals the state of emergency in Bulgaria to be extended until April 30.
Italy: State of emergency extends until May?
The head of the Civil Protection Agency, Angelo Borelli, announced today, as Reuters reports.
The Italian government decided this week to extend the state of emergency by April 13, which restricted freedom of movement and closed down all businesses that are not relevant to the supply of the population.

Turkey's emergency state body concludes 83 pct of appeals
Turkey's presidential commission on the state of emergency concluded 83 percent of the applications on March 27, concerning measures taken in the aftermath of the July 2016 defeated coup attempt.
The Emergency Measures Continue until 13 April

Officers conduct spot checks on first day of lockdown

Bulgaria's Parliament passed the COVID-19 State of Emergency Measures Act. The act was earlier discussed by President Rumen Radev and Parliament Speaker Tsveta Karayancheva.
On March 20 MPs conclusively passed the State of Emergency Measures Act.
The law sets out the measures taken during the state of emergency to limit the spread of coronavirus.
National Police Union: Officers poorly equipped for infectious environment, although protective gear mandatory
Despite a mandatory requirement for police who come in contact with the citizens to wear protective gear, this doesn't happen because of the scarce supplies with such equipment, reads an appeal by the National Police Officers Union (SNAP) to Minister of Interior Ion Marcel Vela.
