Greece fines Unilever, P&G
The Ministry of Development has formally declared war on multinationals, imposing fines on the two largest companies in the consumer goods sector, Unilever and Procter & Gamble, a war that had been announced by the prime minister himself a few weeks ago.

Over 46,000 irregular migrants deported this year: Minister
A total of 46,633 individuals who entered the country irregularly have been deported since the beginning of this year, Interior Minister Yerlikaya has informed.
In a recent statement posted on his social media account, he further stated that the deportation proceedings of an additional 17,964 foreigners are still ongoing.

Foreclosures, other court operations to be suspended for elections
Court operations and auctions of foreclosed homes will be suspended from May 17 to 24, due to the national elections on May 21, according to a circular by Justice Minister Konstantinos Tsiaras released on Tuesday.
Specifically, the circular outlined that civil and criminal court operations in Athens and Thessaloniki will be suspended from May 17 to 26.
Nearly 28,000 foreign nationals deported this year
Nearly 28,000 foreign nationals have been deported in 2023 so far, the Interior Ministry's Directorate of Migration Management has announced.
In a post on its Twitter account, the directorate elaborated that nearly 2,500 irregular migrants were caught, while more than 1,800 were deported between March 31 and April 6.

Over 2,300 irregular migrants caught between Jan 20 and 26
More than 2,300 irregular migrants were caught between Jan. 20 and Jan. 26, the Directorate of Migration Management of the Interior Ministry has announced.
"Our fight against irregular migration continues. Between Jan. 20 and 26, a total of 2,322 were apprehended," the directorate stated in a social media post.
Nearly 3,000 irregular migrants were also deported, it noted.
Fines of €1 bln in the budget
The government expects to collect up to almost a billion euros this year from fines, penalties and other charges that have already been imposed or will be on businesses and individuals.
