ZAGREB,- Serbian FM Ivica Dacic met with his Croatian counterpart Gordan Grlic Radman in Zagreb on Friday.

They met at the Westin Zagreb hotel after a Christmas reception hosted there by the Serb National Council and its President Milorad Pupovac.

ZAGREB - The president of Croatia's Serb National Council, Milorad Pupovac, who is also the leader of the Independent Democratic Serb Party, signed with Serbian Human Rights Minister Tomislav Zigmanov, who is also the leader of the Democratic Alliance of Croats in Vojvodina, a declaration on cooperation between Serbs in Croatia and Croats in Serbia.

Zagreb-based NGO Documenta - Centre for Dealing with the Past and the Serbian National Council, which represents the Serb minority in Croatia, launched a media campaign on Thursday entitled 'Justice for Victims', supporting the government's plan to pass legislation that will grant benefits to civilian victims of the 1991-95 war.

The Serbian National Council, SNV presented its annual report on Tuesday, registering 214 incidents of ethnic intolerance, historical revisionism, denial of historical facts, offences, threats, physical attacks and hate speech targeting Croatian Serbs last year.

According to the latest information, seven people were killed, including two children. There are two Serbs among them, said the president of the Serbian National Council, Milorad Pupovac.

A day after Zagreb State Attorney's Office dismissed criminal complaints filed by war veterans against Milorad Pupovac, which claimed that the Croatian Serb leader had damaged the country's reputation, the leader of a disabled war veterans' association said on Tuesday that they will now try to make Chief State Attorney Drazen Jelenic step down from his position.

A series of warnings about the rise of intolerance against ethnic minorities, hate speech and historical revisionism in Croatian society have attracted very little or no public attention - except one, from Croatian Serb leader Milorad Pupovac, which has been causing controversy for over a month.

Milorad Pupovac had read a statement in which he said that since August 23, when the last press conference was held with regards to the series of attacks on the Serbs, his concern for the rise of hatred towards the Serbs in Croatia annoyed lots of people.

The former manager of the Croatian national football team, Miroslav Ciro Blazevic, has surprised and shocked many in Croatia by appearing in a video made for the European elections by the Independent Democratic Serbian Party, SDSS, a party representing Croatia's Serbian minority.

Blazevic, who is a member of Croatia's HDZ party, did this when party SDSS leader Milorad Pupovac asked him to join the SDSS campaign for the European Parliament elections. The ad is yet to air.
