A man who earns a living by sewing quilts in the Mediterranean province of Antalya has been carrying out his profession for 45 years under redbud trees that have dotted the city for decades.
The 58-year-old Veli Yıldırım, who began working with a needle and thread for the first time at the age of 13, said that almost all his life was spent by sewing quilts.

Two killed, one seriously injured in road accident
Two people died and another one was seriously injured when a driver lost control of his vehicle that left the roadway.
The accident took place on Petrou Ralli Street in Athens shortly after 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Witnesses said the driver had accelerated his vehicle, a grey Smart car, in order to beat the red lights when the fatal accident occurred.
