ECHR condemns Greece for naming HIV-positive sex workers in 2012

The Strasbourg-based European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ordered Greece to pay 8,000 euros to an unaccompanied child refugee, who in 2018 was left without accommodation for six months.

The court ruled, unanimously, that there had been a violation of Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights on the prohibition of inhuman or degrading treatment.

Barrage of payments to pensioners

The Single Social Security Entity (EFKA) has planned for successive payments before Christmas to 2.5 million pensioners, in order to pay all the beneficiaries without exception, both the January pension with an integrated increase of 3%, as well as the personal difference allowance, to those who are not entitled to a raise.

The Strasbourg-based European Court of Human Rights on Tuesday dismissed claims by former judge Altina Xhoxhaj that her rights to a fair trial and to respect for private and family life were violated in 2018 when she was fired from the Albanian Constitutional Court after an investigation showed she owned properties whose cost could not be justified by her income.

European Court Rules Against Serbian, Montenegrin Army Officers

The European Court of Human Rights ruled in a decision that was made public on Tuesday that 11 current, former or retired officers of the Yugoslav Army and the Army of Serbia and Montenegro were not denied a fair hearing by the courts in their legal battle over allegedly underpaid salaries.
