In the early hours of 25 December, President Rumen Radev and Prime Minister Boyko Borissov sent their Chrismas greeting to the Bulgarian people. Both posted them on their Facebook pages.

May the light of today's holiday bring sound health, warmth, hope and faith to every Bulgarian family.

"We have to get used to the new normalcy, we will not go back to life until March 2020," sociologist and MP of the "Bulgarian Socialist Party for Bulgaria" Prof. Ivo Hristov told BNR. He stressed that there is a disease, it is very insidious, but the reaction to this infection is disproportioned to what we have. "A lot more people died from swine flu than from Covid-19," he said.

An innovative rotating anti-epidemic toilet bowl was installed in the building of the Oborishte district city hall in Sofia. For the moment, only citizens have access it, but not employees in the administration of the municipality.

The parliamentary elections in Bulgaria should be on March 28, President Rumen Radev said.

"Elections must be held in due course with delivered and licensed voting machines and with all measures needed to guarantee the right of every Bulgarian to vote," the president added.

The Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) Dimitar Radev warned of a possible deterioration of the economic crisis. The warning made on the eve of Banker's Day - December 6is published in the traditional bulletin released by the Association of Commercial Banks.

President Rumen Radev described next year's budget as "inadequate to real situation and the challenges" which the country will face in 2021.

The Head of State also commented on the new restrictions coming into force tonight.

For the first time since taking office, Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev has the same level of trust as Prime Minister Borissov. President Rumen Radev and Prime Minister Boyko Borissov have the support of 40% of people in a representative poll conducted by Alpha Research Agency. 

Bulgaria marks the Europe Day on May 9. The flag of the European Union was hoisted at an official ceremony in front of the Bulgarian Presidency building. Earlier, Bulgaria's head of state Rumen Radev and Bulgaria's Vice-President Iliana Yotova laid flowers before the Monument to the Unknown Solider on occasion of the 75th anniversary since the end of World War II.

Slovenia is preparing the signing of bilateral agreements on lifting the quarantine for the tourists from neighboring countries which report a decrease of the morbidity rate, Borut Pahor informed
