Host of events as Ethnographic Museum marks centenary
The Slovenian Ethnographic Museum will be celebrating its centenary this year with a number of events and exhibitions, as well as a new permanent display.
Early music festival kicks off in Radovljica
Radovljica – The quaint town of Radovljica in the north-west of the country will host the 40th iteration of its early music festival from 5 to 23 August. This year, the festival will focus on music from the 16th to the 20th century.

Austrian skier found dead in Mt Stol area
Ljubljana – An Austrian skier who went missing on Friday while skiing off piste in the area of Mt Stol in the Karawanken mountain range in northern Slovenia was found dead on Saturday morning, the Slovenian Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief says on its website.

Slovenia’s first TV star chef honoured with exhibition
Radovljica/Brežice – An exhibition honouring Ivan Ivačič, the first Slovenian TV star chef, to mark 100 years since his birth will open in Radovljica on Thursday, as Slovenia holds the title of the European Region of Gastronomy this year.
