Athens transport slows down for Easter
There will be changes in the frequency of public transport services in the Greek capital during the Easter holidays, the Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) announced.
Buses and trolleys will operate on Holy Saturday as on every other Saturday but all drives will have pulled into their depots by 11 p.m.

Boy, 16, hospitalized after being struck by train in Athens
A 16-year-old is being treated in hospital for serious head injuries after being hit by a train in central Athens late on Friday.
The incident occurred on the Proastiakos (suburban) line between Rouf and Tavros stations, at the intersection with Mithymnis Street.

Trains get back on track
Trains and the suburban rail service, which had stopped after the deadly accident in northern Greece on February 28, resume on Wednesday.
The first train is expected to depart from Larissa station at 4.45 a.m. on the Athens-Oinoi route. The new CEO of Hellenic Railways (OSE), Panagiotis Terezakis, will board the train.

Thousands walk off the job to protest deadly train crash
Thousands of Greek workers walked off the job on Thursday and rallied in central Athens to protest failures of safety standards they claim helped cause the country's deadliest train crash, which killed 57 people on Feb. 28.
