PM Borisov Accepted Sylvester Stallone in the Council of Ministers

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov accepted the film actor and director Sylvester Stallone in the Council of Ministers. Their encounter began with a warm embrace.

Borisov thanked him for the good words for Bulgaria. We recall that the star praises Bulgaria for the quality and speed of the internet.

Sylvester Stallone was Admitted to the Bulgarian Government Hospital in Sofia

Sylvester Stallone, who is in Bulgaria for filming his latest film, was at the Government Hospital for medical examination. The actor is fine and continues his work on his new project - Rambo 5.

The news was confirmed by the head of the New Boyana Cinema Center, Yariv Lerner, but without further details.

'Rambo 5' will Film in Bulgaria and the Spanish Canary Islands

Sly Stallone has been eyeing a September 1st production start on Rambo 5, he was said to be attached to direct but others were less sure about this.

Filming was expected to take place in the Spanish Canary Islands and we now have word that Bulgaria is another location for the filming. It's not surprising as Stallone is going to be filming there next spring for Expendables 4.

US Director Ted Kotcheff Granted Bulgarian Citizenship

Bulgarian Justice Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva on Friday granted citizenship to Ted Kotcheff, a US director born to Bulgarian parents.

Kotcheff submitted an application in February, prior to his arrival to Bulgaria for this years' edition of the Sofia International Film Festival.

On Monday he is to receive a birth certificate and Bulgarian identity documents.

US director Ted Kotcheff has submitted an application to become a Bulgarian citizen, the organizers of the forthcoming Sofia Film Fest have announced.

Kotcheff, 84, who was born to Bulgarian parents, is best know for having directed First Blood, a Rambo film.

He is quoted as saying that he has "always felt" Bulgarian despite having been born in the United States.
