France Postpones Extradition Ruling on Kosovo’s Haradinaj
A French court decided to postpone its decision on whether to free former Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj or to send him to Serbia to face trial on war crimes charges.
Decision on Haradinaj extradition due on February 9
PARIS/PRISTINA - Ramus Haradinaj, a former indictee of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), on Wednesday appeared for a hearing before a French court, with a decision on his potential extradition to Serbia due on February 9, Pristina media reported.
The hearing, which began at 11 am, ended in less than 30 minutes, the IndeksOnline portal reported.
Haradinaj appears in court, extradition decision on Feb. 9
Former KLA commander and former Kosovo PM Ramush Haradinaj was questioned before a French court on Wednesday.
But the court is yet to make its decision on further actions in the case, according to Albanian language website IdeksOnline.
Tanjug is reporting that the decision will be made on February 9.
"Haradinaj is your test," Serbian FM tells Europe
Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said that the case of former KLA commander Ramush Haradinaj represents "a test for Europe."

Haradinaj still not sought by Hague special court
BELGRADE - Although there is a possibility of Alliance for the Future of Kosovo leader Ramus Haradinaj being tried by the special court for crimes committed by the "Kosovo Liberation Army", he cannot be extradited because the court is still in the process of formation and has not requested his extradition.
