Reactions to the 2017 Tehran attacks

The Greek Foreign Ministry has issued a message to extend condolences to the families of the victims after a Ukrainian Boeing-737 carrying 176 people crashed in Iran early Wednesday.

Iran struck back at the United States early on Jan. 8 for killing a top Revolutionary Guard commander, firing a series of ballistic missiles at two military bases in Iraq that house American troops in a major escalation between the two longtime foes.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Dec. 17, American sanctions against the Islamic Republic will not last for long. 

Speaking at a press conference before flying to Malaysia, Rouhani said world countries are seeking to establish friendly relations with Iran.

President Hassan Rouhani said on Sept. 23 Iran was ready to confront the United States and its Gulf Arab allies, a day after an attack on an Iranian military parade killed 25 people, including 12 members of the elite Revolutionary Guards.

TEHRAN: President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday that Iran "does not intend any aggression" against its neighbours but will continue to produce all the weapons it needs for its defence.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Feb. 18 extended his condolences to his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif by phone, following a deadly passenger plane crash, according to the foreign ministry.

Turkish Parliament Speaker İsmail Kahraman held a bilateral meeting with his Iranian counterpart in Tehran on Jan. 15.

France should know that Iran's missile program is not an issue that can be negotiated, Iran's foreign ministry spokesman, Bahram Qassemi, said in an interview with state media on Monday, quoted by Reuters. 

Sunni Jihadist group Islamic State  threatened Shia Iran with new terrorist attacks in the capital Tehran, Reuters reported.
