Bulgarian Orthodox Church will not Take Part in Events During Pope Francis Visit
Representatives of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church will not participate in any of the events during Pope Francis' visit to Bulgaria. The exception is the meeting of Patriarch Neofit with the Pope in the Holy Synod, a decision of the Holy Synod (Bulgaria's Orthodox Church's governing body) said on 3rd of April.
Holy Synod concerned about ‘Macedonian’ liturgy
The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece has expressed its concerns to Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomaios over the request he received from the small local Rainbow Party to grant his approval for the divine liturgy to be conducted in the "Macedonian language" to cater for speakers of the Southern Slavic spoken in North Macedonia.

Greek bishops to decide on recognition of Ukrainian Church
The Hierarchy of the Church of Greece, comprised of 82 bishops, will decide in late February whether or not to recognize the autocephaly of the Church of Ukraine, which was formally granted independence from Moscow last Sunday by Istanbul-based Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomaios.
Serbian Church disagrees with Bartholomew's Ukraine move
The Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) dignitary, who is at the helm of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral, added that after the latest decision of its head, Patriarch Bartholomew, the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople was "absolutely no longer considered as the supreme church authority by the SPC."
