The NRA Sealed a Trade Show in the Center of Burgas
Tax inspectors sealed six of the eight temporary shops, which are part of the trade show for Bulgarian goods at Troikata Square for not issuing cash receipts.
Prior to the imposition of the measure, the officers of the Revenue Authority had previously executed a series of control purchases based on the "secret client" principle.

Huge interest in the receipt lottery draw
After months of delays, the first receipt lottery was conducted on Thursday, with the lucky 1,000 taxpayers set to collect 1,000 euros each in cash next week. The measure is intended to encourage the use of electronic transactions to boost state revenues and contain tax evasion.

Varna's Sky Restaurant Sees Emergency Landing by NRA Inspectors
A few days ago, inspectors of the National Revenue Agency (NRA) directorate visited Varna's unique sky restaurant (it is actually a large platform hanging down from a hot air balloon), disguised as customers, reported Standart News.
They were asked to make reservations worth 150 levs (just under EUR 75) each, but did not receive any receipts upon payment.

Tax evasion at Knossos ancient site
Inspectors of the Ministry of Finance audited the souvenir shop at the Archeological Site of Knossos on the isle of Crete. The tax inspectors arrived after a visitor claimed he didn’t get a receipt for the items he purchased. Posing as customers, tax inspectors found that over the course of several hours, none of the eight shop employees issued receipts for sales.

Tax Receipts Lottery - first draw with prizes of over 225,000 euros
The first draw of the Tax Receipts Lottery will be held on Monday, April 13, on the second day of Easter, and the prize pool is 1 million lei (some 227,000 euros), the National Tax Administration Agency (ANAF) announced on Thursday.
