A pioneer with a six-decade career marked by major milestones like founding the Velvet Underground and discovering the likes of the Stooges, Iggy Pop and Patti Smith, Welsh musician, composer and producer John Cale is performing at the Herod Atticus Theater as part of the Athens & Epidaurus Festival (aefestival.gr).

Freddie Mercury’s draft lyrics unveiled

A trove of Freddie Mercury's previously unseen handwritten draft lyrics for some of Queen's biggest hits goes on show Thursday in New York, ahead of their sale in London later this year.

The manuscripts include working drafts for "Bohemian Rhapsody," which Mercury initially planned to call "Mongolian Rhapsody," "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Somebody to Love."

Queen’s music catalog could sell for over $1 billion

The songs of Queen are known the world over, and the band's body of work might soon sell for a staggering sum.

The band is reportedly in the early stages, which could include everything from their 1973 self-titled debut through their 1995 album, "Made in Heaven," Queen's15th and final album following the death of Freddie Mercury in 1991.

Warhaus | Thessaloniki & Athens | May 19 & 20

Belgian singer-songwriter Maarten Devoldere, known as the frontman of Balthazar, comes to Greece as a solo act, Warhaus, to perform at Thessaloniki's WE venue (weskg.gr) and Athens' Gazarte (gazarte.gr) the following night. With romantic rock music that has been described as "dark and sexy," the act will be performing tracks from his last album, 2022's "Ha Ha Heartbreak" and older tunes.
