British tourist dies during inflatable sofa ride in Cephalonia
A 56-year-old British tourist has died during an inflatable sofa ride on the Ionian island of Cephalonia, coast guard officials said Wednesday.
Initial reports suggest the 56-year-old died of a heart attack.
Two more passengers on the craft, also holidaymakers from Britain, were said to be in good health.

113 refugees and illegal migrants landed on Greek islands in the northern Aegean Sea over the past 48 hours, according to authorities. 50 reached the island of Chios while 63 landed on Samos. Flows towards the island of Lesvos were zero over the same period.
58 migrants land on Greek islands in past 48 hours
A total of 58 migrants and refugees have landed on Greece's Aegean islands in the past 48 hours, authorities said Friday.
Officials reported 29 arrivals on Chios, 18 on Lesvos and 11 on Samos.
The official number of migrants and refugees awaiting processing on the islands of the eastern Aegean on Friday was 8,892.

Greece 2nd in Blue Flag awards in the world
Greece clinched second spot in the world in the number of blue flags with 486 of its beaches receiving the award, announced the Hellenic Society for the protection of Nature (HSPN), with 12 Greek marinas also picking up blue flags. Greece had 25% of the total of the 47 countries that took part in the international program, with the region of Chalkidiki getting 71.

Bodies found in Thessaloniki's Thermaic Gulf
A body was discovered in the Thermaic Gulf just off Thessaloniki on Monday. The corpse was found floating in the water near the statue of Alexander the Great in the northern city.
Coast guard officers recovered the body but further information was not immediately available. On Sunday, the body of a 48-year-old Bulgarian man was found in the sea off Porto Valitsa in nearby Halkidiki.

91 migrants arrive on Aegean islands in past 48 hours
A total of 90 migrants and refugees have arrived on the eastern Aegean island of Lesvos in the past 48 hours, authorities said Thursday, adding that two suspects have been arrested on human trafficking charges.
A single arrival has been recorded on Chios over the same period, authorities said.

Over 100 people rescued at sea since Thursday
A total of 114 refugees and migrants have been rescued in three separate incidents in the area lying between the eastern Aegean islands of Lesvos and Chios since last Thursday, according to the Greek coast guard.
