Ljubljana – Slovenia’s competition watchdog has found Renault Nissan Slovenija and four other companies have been colluding against competition in repair and maintenance of Renault vehicles through a cartel agreement for over ten years. One of the companies has admitted its involvement and provided further evidence in exchange for a milder sentence.

Renault Group, which has been operating in Turkey since 1968, has decided to establish a new company to enhance its investments in the country, according to a company statement released on Dec. 1.

Hakan Doğu, who is a member of Renault Group Corporate Management Committee, will lead Renault Group Otomotiv A.Ş. as the CEO, according to the statement.

Novo Mesto – Revoz is switching from two shifts to one and a half on Monday, 15 November, as car manufacturer Renault’s Slovenian subsidiary scales down production over uncertainties in the car industry resulting from the global crisis in semiconductors. In the coming months, around 350 of the company’s more than 2,400 workers will lose their jobs.

Ljubljana – Slovenian energy company Petrol ranked ninth by total revenue for 2020 in the SEE TOP 100 ranking of the largest companies in SE Europe, published by business news portal SeeNews. Romanian company Automobile Dacia, a unit of French Renault, was ranked first with EUR 3.8 billion in revenue.

President Klaus Iohannis on Saturday took a test drive with the new Dacia Duster model, saying it is a modern car and it is easy to drive. The head of state arrived at an event organised by Dacia Renault in Pianu de Jos locality, driving a Dacia Spring electric car. He then took a short test drive with the new Dacia Duster, about which he said it was a good car.

A total of 116,988 vehicles were registered in Turkey in July, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced on Aug. 27.

The figure fell 15.8% from the same month last year but posted a month-on-month rise of 12.1%, TÜİK said.

The total number of road motor vehicles registered to traffic topped 24.8 million by the end of July, TÜİK said.

The number of road motor vehicle registrations in Turkey increased 37.2% year-on-year in June, the country's statistics authority revealed on July 28.

A total of 104,316 first- and second-hand vehicles were registered last month, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).

On Tuesday, the Dacia car manufacturer unveiled an enhanced and updated version of its Duster that will start trading in September 2021 in 4x2 and 4x4 versions. "Following on from earlier generations, the New Duster is aimed both at customers who are looking for a comfortable, attractive SUV and those who want a robust, versatile 4x4.

The Duster numbered 2,000,000 has come off the production line of the Dacia Plant in central Mioveni on Thursday, the car manufacturer informs. According to a release from Dacia, the car is a limited edition Duster Advantage ECO-G 100 - with mixed petrol/LNG fuelling, made for a client in Romania. "Duster is a national symbol of success.
