PPC Renewables to build energy storage facilities
PPC Renewables has been chosen by the Waste, Energy and Water Regulatory Authority to build and operate two energy storage facilities with a total capacity of 98 megawatts (MW).
The two storage facilities will be built in the region of Western Macedonia, near a PPC steam-electric power plant and where PPC Renewables is building photovoltaic arrays.

The Energy Ministry has announced that it selected four regions as potential sites for offshore wind power Renewable Energy Resource Area (YEKA).

Helleniq in solar parks deal with Mytilineos
Helleniq Energy Holdings on Monday announced it has reached a binding agreement to buy a portfolio of solar power projects, with total power of 211 megawatts, from Mytilineos Energy & Metals through its subsidiary Helleniq Renewables for an undisclosed sum.

Helleniq Energy and RWE ready to start offshore wind farms
Exactly one year after signing their provisional agreement on the joint installation of offshore wind parks in Greece in July 2022, local refiner Helleniq Energy and German power giant RWE have signed the framework agreement for their joint venture through which they will bid in the tenders the Greek state has proclaimed for the development of 2-2.5 gigawatts of offshore wind power capacity.

Greece’s wind energy capacity up 252.5 MW in H1
New wind power farms with a total energy capacity of 252.5 megawatts and a total investment of 260 million euros were connected to the country's electricity grid in the first half of 2023, the Hellenic Wind Energy Association (HWEA) said in a report.
