China as "world's biggest prison for journalists"

Fewer journalists were imprisoned this year but the number of those kidnapped increased significantly, Reporters Without Borders (RSF) said.

In a report published on Tuesday, the NGO said the number of imprisoned journalists fell 14 percent compared to 2014 and was at 153, while 54 professional journalists were kidnapped in 2015 - up 35 percent on 2014.

BELGRADE -- Executive director of Reporters Without Borders Christian Mihr has said that "censorship in Serbia is neither direct nor transparent, but is easy to prove."

Mihr is one of the authors of the organization's recently published report about media freedom in the world, the Beta agency said.
