The National Anti-Terrorism Committee claims that the attack was carried out by Ukrainian drones.
"At 3:05 a.m., two Ukrainian drones attacked the Crimean bridge as a result of a terrorist act, part of the pavement on the bridge was damaged. Two adults were killed and one child was injured," the Committee said in a statement.

Traffic on the key bridge connecting Crimea to Russia's mainland has been halted amid reports of explosions.

The health ministry in Russia's Krasnodar region, which lies at the eastern end of the bridge, said two people were killed in an unspecified accident on the bridge and their daughter was injured.

Russia's southern Belgorod region bordering Ukraine came under attack Friday from Ukrainian artillery fire, mortar shells and drones, authorities said, hours after two drones struck a Russian city in an area next to the annexed Crimea Peninsula.

Six drones were downed or blocked overnight in Russian-annexed Crimea, the region's Moscow-appointed governor said on Thursday.

"During the past night, six drones were shot down or blocked ... in different parts of Crimea," Sergei Aksyonov wrote on Telegram, adding "there were no victims or injured".

Antonov wrote on Telegram that there is no necessary infrastructure to operate those fighter jets in Ukraine, and that there is no required number of pilots and personnel to maintain the aircraft, Reuters reported.
Antonov also warned that any Ukrainian attack on Crimea would be considered an attack on Russia.

British agency Reuters analyzed the footage, indicating that Russia has built a huge line of "fortifications" stretching from western Russia, through eastern Ukraine to Crimea, pointing out that these defensive positions were built in preparation for an expected Ukrainian counter-offensive.
