CHP leader urges PM Davuto?lu to prove authority by dismissing ministers over Ankara attack

Top business group to hold meetings with political party leaders ahead of elections

Turkey's top business group has announced it will hold open meetings with political party leaders ahead of the Nov. 1 elections in a written statement on Oct. 13.

At least 20 killed in twin blast in Turkey's Ankara ahead of rally: Report

Two explosions shook a road junction in the center of the Turkish capital Ankara on Oct. 10, causing many casualties including fatalities, ahead of a "peace" meeting, Do?an News Agency reported.

At least 20 were killed, the agency said. 

Broadcaster NTV also reported from the field that at least 10 people were killed.

CHP outlines communication strategy for snap election

The Republican People's Party (CHP) has specified its communication guidelines ahead of the Nov. 1 general election, asking members to "avoid all statements that intimidate ethnic or religious minorities." 

It also requested that party members avoid placing placards and posters at historic, cultural or religious buildings for propaganda purposes.

Turkey needs to be as courageous as neighboring Iran concerning corruption allegations involving governmental officials, the country's main opposition leader said, recalling how Iran has charged Babak Zanjani, an Iranian businessman currently imprisoned in Iran on corruption charges who was connected to Turkey's massive 2013 graft case.
