Turkey wants to increase defense exports to $25 billion

Turkish defense producers aim to boost exports to $25 billion by 2023, from $1.5 billion this year, Defense Industry Undersecretary İsmail Demir stated on Nov. 28.    

Demir said Turkey aims to have defense companies among the top 100 major companies in the world, and to create at least three global brands in the defense sector.

Turkish paper marbling art on UNESCO cultural list

The Turkish art of paper marbling, known as Ebru, has been added to the United Nations' world cultural heritage list.

Culture and Tourism Minister Ömer Çelik said Turkey applied to UNESCO for the art to be included in the cultural heritage list in March last year. "With the addition of Ebru art, Turkey is now represented on the list 12 times," Çelik said.

Iohannis: Romania's undeniable duty towards Rep. of Moldova - establishing common space of democracy

President-elect Klaus Iohannis said on Friday that Romania backs the Republic of Moldova's European Union membership by permanently supporting the interests of this country, adding that Romania has an "undeniable duty" towards Chisinau, specifically the establishment of a common space of democracy, stability and prosperity.
