Fog triggers massive 40-car pileup on eastbound Bucharest - Constanta motorway

Eastbound traffic is halted Friday morning on the Bucharest - Constanta A2 motorway near the city of Medgidia due to a multi-vehicle collision that triggered a pileup of 40 cars; 17 people, five children included, were injured and one victim was trapped, the Infotrafic Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police informs. Avalanches claim three lives, rescuers injured

Cyprus, Greece conduct joint search and rescue exercise

A joint search and rescue exercise dubbed "SALAMIS - 02/21" was conducted on Monday between Cyprus and Greece.

The exercise took place within the Republic of Cyprus' area of responsibility for search and rescue operations, and saw the participation of the Greek Frigate Hydra and an AW-139 helicopter of the Cyprus National Guard General Staff Air Command.
