A number of 4,207 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been registered in the past 24 hours, following 9,938 tests processed at national level, the Group of Strategic Communication (GCS) informs on Monday. These are cases that have not previously had a positive test, says GCS. As of Monday, 422,852 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus have been confirmed in Romania.

As many as 5,837 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Romania were recorded in the last 24 hours, following 20,790 tests nationwide, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official novel coronavirus communication task force, reported on Sunday. These are cases of patients that had not previously tested positive.

Two more people died from Covid-19 in Greece on Thursday, raising the overall number to 218, according to a report on Skai TV.

The first victim was an 87-year-old man who was being treated in a hospital in Halkidiki and the second was an 82-year-old man with underlying medical conditions.
