Realty brought taxes over €3 bln

The major increase in property transfers recorded in 2022 continued in 2023 too, following years of stagnation due to the pandemic and the energy crisis.

According to data from the Independent Authority for Public Revenue, transfers posted a new record last year, mainly thanks to the major interest by foreign investors.

Hotel prices rise most in Antalya last year

Antalya, Türkiye's famous holiday destination, led the increase in hotel prices last year, according to the data from the Hotel Association of Türkiye (TÜROB).

The average daily rate (ADR) was 172.1 euros in 2023 at Antalya's hotels, up 19.35 percent from the previous year. Revenue per available room (RevPAR) rose 8 percent to 96.8 euros.

Luka Koper’s net profit nearly doubles in Q1 to over EUR 16m

Koper – Port operator Luka Koper posted a net profit of EUR 16.5 million for the first quarter of 2022, up 91% over the same period in 2021. Sales revenue rose by 23% to EUR 70.9 million, and transshipped goods were up 18% to nearly 5.9 million tonnes, show unaudited results released on Friday.

Service sector recovering fast

Ljubljana – Revenue from the sales of services in Slovenia was up by 21.8% in June compared to the same month last year, and by 2.6% compared to June 2019, the Statistics Office reported on Friday, an indication that services are recovering fast from the pandemic slump.
