Renault’s Slovenia plant to keep output at 2022 levels

Revoz, the Slovenian subsidiary of the French car maker Renault, expects this year's output to be on a par with last year's. The Novo Mesto plant scaled down production and staff in March of 2022 in response to disruption in supply and the general crisis related to the post-Covid transformation of the automotive industry.

Car maker Revoz shrinking production

Novo Mesto – Revoz is switching from two shifts to one and a half on Monday, 15 November, as car manufacturer Renault’s Slovenian subsidiary scales down production over uncertainties in the car industry resulting from the global crisis in semiconductors. In the coming months, around 350 of the company’s more than 2,400 workers will lose their jobs.

Chip shortage troubles continue for Slovenian vehicle makers

Novo Mesto – Revoz, a car manufacture and assembly plant based in Novo Mesto, is suffering from a shortage of electronic parts for its car models. They assessed that two-fifths of this year’s planned production has been lost so far. Adria Mobil, a Novo Mesto-based company that produces caravans and motorhomes, is facing similar problems.

Revoz to relaunch production next Wednesday

Novo Mesto – The production at Renault-owned assembly plant Revoz, which was suspended this week as a supplier of insulation components had to stop deliveries due to a massive fire, will be relaunched next Wednesday. Components will be delivered from Spain, where Treves managed to transfer a part of its production.

Cerar promises support for new Revoz projects

Visiting the company as part of the government tour of SE Slovenia, Cerar praised its advanced technology and said Revoz was one of the biggest positive factors in the Slovenian economy.

This is why the government, given that certain conditions are met, remains prepared to continue to stimulate its activities, he said.
