Pfizer-BioNTech asked for authorization on April 9 to use their Covid-19 vaccine on 12 to 15-year-olds in the United States, which could mark a crucial next step toward achieving herd immunity.

Turkey will likely start administering the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine in the next few days, the nation's health minister said on March 30.

The National COVID Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV) informs that, in the last 24 hours, 52,458 doses of vaccine have been administered, out of which 41,280 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, 7,351 doses of AstraZeneca and 3,827 doses of Moderna vaccine, according to the data provided by the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) via the National Electronic Immunization Registry app

A total of 100 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines are expected to arrive in Turkey by the end of May, the country's health minister said on March 25. 

Speaking after a virtual meeting of the Coronavirus Scientific Advisory Board, Fahrettin Koca said that so far 1.4 million Pfizer-BioNTech jabs have arrived in Turkey, and the figure will reach 4.5 million by April.

A new batch of 224,640 doses of Pfizer BioNTech vaccine will arrive to Romania on Monday, March 8, the vaccines being delivered via air, at the airports of Otopeni, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara, according to a release of the National anti-COVID-19 Vaccination Activity Coordination Committee (CNCAV). Transport to the storage centres is ensured by the producing company, including on land.

When will children be able to get COVID-19 vaccines?

It depends on the child's age, but some teenagers could be rolling up their sleeves before too long.

President Joe Biden said Tuesday the United States would have sufficient vaccine supply by the end of May to inoculate the entire US adult population.

"We're now on track to have enough vaccine supply for every adult in America by the end of May," said Biden -- who had previously forecast it would take until the end of July to amass that many doses.
