The National COVID Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV) informs that 45,077 people have received the coronavirus jab in the past 24 hours, with 28,055 injected with the Pfizer vaccine, 7,827 with the Moderna vaccine and 10.095 with the AstraZeneca one, according to data provided by the National Public Health Institute through the National Electronic Vaccinations Registry app.

Europe's medicines regulator is planning to speed up assessments of any Covid-19 vaccines that are modified to protect against variants of the virus, the head of the agency's Covid-19 task-force told Reuters on Friday.

The National Committee for Vaccination against COVID (CNCAV) informs that, in the past 24 hours, 39,376 doses of vaccine were administered, of which 35,756 doses of Pfizer and 3,620 doses of Moderna, according to data made available by INSP (Public Health Inspectorate) through the National Electronic Vaccination Registry application.

Today, 31,200 doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine arrived at the BulBio warehouse in Sofia, the health ministry reported.

They will be distributed among the regional health inspectorates in the country. This is a second shipment of the vaccine. The first shipment of 28,800 doses arrived on February 6.

The European Union has finalized a deal with Pfizer and BioNTech for the supply of an additional 300 million doses of their Covid-19 vaccine, a European Commission spokesman told Reuters on Monday.

The EU secured 300 million Pfizer doses in November last year and announced a preliminary deal for 300 million more shots on Jan. 8, subject to talks about the terms of the new contract.
