Minister calls for coordinated action to accelerate jab drive
Turkey's health minister has called for a common and coordinated action in order to accelerate vaccinations against COVID-19.
"We are expecting support from the healthcare community to help overcome vaccine hesitancy and from all media outlets to reach out to the public and get messages regarding the vaccination across," Fahrettin Koca said.

The platform at emvolio.gov.gr opens tonight, for those wishing to book an appointment for the booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine (people over 18 years old who had their second shot more than 5,5 months ago).
Over 12,000 Children in Bulgaria have been Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19
There are 12,136 children in Bulgaria with completed vaccination against COVID-19. This was announced by the Ministry of Health / MH / in the profile of the department on Facebook. 16,195 children were immunized with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines. Top officials get booster shots
Ljubljana – Slovenia’s top officials have received booster shots of coronavirus vaccines nearly nine months after they received their first shots in the early stages of the vaccination campaign. Some 8.6 million people skip second, third doses of COVID jabs, says minister
Around 8.6 million people in Turkey have skipped their second and third doses of the vaccines against COVID-19, the country's health minister has said.
"You need to get your shots on time if we are to benefit more from power of the vaccinations," Fahrettin Koca wrote on Twitter on Nov. 11, urging people to stick to the vaccination program.
Turkey opens up booster shots for everyone above 18
Turkey will start administering booster shots for citizens aged 18 and older beginning Thursday, the country's Health Minister said on Nov. 10.
Anyone older than 18 years of age who were administered an mRNA vaccine at least six months ago can receive "reminder shots," Fahrettin Koca said.

The pharmaceutical company Pfizer has asked the US Food and Drug Administration to allow the third dose of Covid-19 vaccine for anyone over 18 years of age.
The argument is that more protection is needed and that there is a danger of increasing the spread of the virus with holiday trips and gatherings.
